The Končarica vase
This clay was left completely unprocessed and modeled just as it was taken from the ground. It still has all of the sand, grit and stones of the landscape it was taken from. If you look closely in each of the cracks you will see the sand and rocks that have caused the rupture, resembling a geological process of land dehydration caused by the high temperature cooking in the oven. This vase has been fired to 1250 C and is NOT watertight.
